Cocktail Reception Kicks-Off 10th Annual Palm Beach Policemen’s Ball

(PALM, BEACH, FL--) Michele Kessler, a Palm Beach Police Foundation Board Member, and her husband, Howard Kessler, hosted a kickoff cocktail reception at their Palm Beach home on December 15, 2015 in honor of the upcoming 10th Annual Policemen’s Ball with a “Miami Vice” theme on January 16, 2016 at the Mar a Lago Club.
 

Guests at the reception enjoyed a special preview of the Buccellati jewelry collection from Neiman Marcus Palm Beach, which was displayed and informally modeled throughout the evening., Foundation Board Co-founder and President, John Scarpa welcomed more than 120 guests and presented the Kesslers with a hospitality gift, and acknowledged Gala Chairmen, Monika and John Preston, and Honorary Chairmen Mary and Mark Freitas. ,Scarpa also presented Founding Ball Chairmen Eileen and Brian Burns with a commemorative trophy for their leadership and support through the years. ,He recognized attending Foundation Board and Town Council members, including Mayor Gail Coniglio, and Palm Beach philanthropists, Kathryn and Leo Vecellio., The couple will be presented with the Tenth Annual Palm Tree Award at the ball for their outstanding civic activities and philanthropy. 

 

Foundation Board Co-founder and Vice President Emeritus Tim Moran, and Palm Beach Public Safety Director Kirk Blouin offered highlights about new equipment the Foundation will fund with proceeds raised from the ball. ,Buccellati at Neiman Marcus Palm Beach is the gala Jewelry Sponsor, and Palm Beach Illustrated is the gala Media Sponsor.
 

The annual Palm Beach Policemen’s Ball, sponsored by The Palm Beach Police Foundation, is its primary fundraising vehicle and provides an opportunity to honor and support the police and civilian members of the Palm Beach Police Department. ,Funds raised remain in Palm Beach and go directly to The Palm Beach Police Department. ,In addition to funding police support programs, the Foundation provides financial support to Palm Beach Crime Watch, Inc., scholarships and grants for education to qualified police department family members; new equipment for the department, and assistance to officers in need in times of distress.
