The Palm Beach Police Foundation Awards over $100,000 in Academic Scholarships 


(Palm Beach, FL---) The Palm Beach Police Foundation, Inc., has completed scholarship application review for the 2017-18 academic year, and has awarded 15 qualifying students a total of over $100,000.00 in scholarship funding. 

Scholarship funding, awarded to children of sworn officers and civilian employees of the Palm Beach Police Department, is based on the applicant’s record of scholastic achievement. 

Academic institutions include: Cornell College, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, Indian River State College, Lake Forest University, Manhattan University, Palm Beach State College, Pennsylvania State University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida, University of North Carolina, and University of South Florida. 

Since its inception nearly 12 years ago, the Foundation has awarded more than $1 million in academic scholarships as part of its mission to accept and manage funds that remain in the Town of Palm Beach, and are used to benefit the Palm Beach Police Department. 

In addition to scholarships, the Foundation provides emergency financial assistance to officers, and helps fund police department supplements that include additional training, equipment and unmet needs.
